Spillsbury

…expanding on that music theme, take Spillsbury. Saw some mp3’s linked at Mystery and Misery first (big thanks for that). Ofcourse, that's an mp3 blog, he never ordered that CD, but I did, and you wouldn't be disappointed if you did.
Spillsbury, German ‘discopunk’ or whatever you prefer, rings the same bell bis did, for me, once. Highly energetic, who cares attitude, nothing elite, just setting a good tune, noisy. Bis’ records (got a couple) are not in heavy rotation anymore - their shows though were awesome. Spillbury’s first full album (not been to any show) - RAUS! - is ever so what I hoped for, just a disc to put in when up to a loud, fun tune. Helps that I like the German language (kräftig, and lyrics indeed are), but I’ve pointed the tunes out to some people usually more into dark/heavy stuff (English) - they seemed to like likewise (and so does the girl).
Their website is all about preparation for their 2nd album, has one (not very convincing, imho) preview tune, I’ll still order it blindly when available. Though their old songs for preview are not linked there anymore, they're still online. Be convinced:

After they release that album, I hope to see them in Holland sometime soon.

Got the album (Raus) from a friend some time ago. Great cd album to listen to in the morning when some happy, powerfull, energyboost is needed :-)
