msgina.dll modified
nothing as fancy as any of WinT's screenshots. but i'm kinda proud of it. a modded msgina.
dll (that's XP's shutdown dialog).
got rid of those ugly green, yellow, and red buttons, the flag, and that background. all this thanks to the tutorial on
Win'T's site that was provided by angel333.
comments/ suggestions welcome and appreciated.
see it
here
note: it also contains whistl3r's emerald.v2 visual style, and icons from qoa's signs set
very nice. looks very professional, nice color contrast, and you have some really cool gradients on the buttons. well done!
can you tell us more about the rest of the system too? shell, other customizations, mods, etc. i'm always interested.
I've modded a few other things, utilizing tutorials found mostly at WinT's site. a small list:
winamp's right-click menu - made it more effecient for my use
Internet Explorer's FIle, Edit, View... menus - got rid of that stuff no one ever uses (i.e. Import/Export, Show related links, tip of the day, etc)
run dialog - streamlined
and that's it for now.
in the future i want to mod the start menu and AIM... but one step at a time...
you mentioned you like the gradients on the buttons, they're in the VS made by whistl3r. perhaps with permission you could port out those buttons to another VS. just a thought.
