Error in Application Path?

I've changed the application paths to MAC-lie c:\User. Everything's fine so far, but I'm not able to use Open and Save Dialogs anymore(e.g. in Display Properties > Save Theme... just ends the program) . I had the same problem in IE, but after changing the default download path everything was fine again.

I wonder where Windows stores the last used folder for Open/Save. Can anyone help me? It's just annoying at the moment.
