ggShellHelper question.
It's definitely been a long time since I've been here on VP, so here's a shout to everyone..
I've recently started working on a new mod, mainly a DHTML UI, and so far have about 30 hours and close to 1000 lines of JS,
css, and HTML invested. The difference is this mod is being developed in Vista x64, for WinXP Pro. I have migrated my daily stuff to Vista, but the mod will be for my gaming dual-boot XP.
Now my real question: Im trying to use grigri's TaskSwitch HTML
dll as the basis for my own HTML TaskSwitcher, but for some reason I always get either the always awesome "Automation Server Cannot Create Object" or w/e JS error. I have tried re-registering the dll, etc. I was wondering if it is just a problem with the DLL and it not liking Vista (wouldnt be surprised).....
Thanks a lot.
Ill try and get some teaser shots up when I have access to a quicker connection.
Hi
Sorry, I've no idea if it's down to Vista issues. Probably, as you say, but I can't be certain.
I haven't done any software dev for a while, and I haven't programmed for Vista at all yet.
I should be able to dig out the source code if you like, but it's in the dead-as-a-dodo language VB6.
awesome! If you dont mind, that is, I would love that. I still have VB6 floating around here somewhere.. Still prefer VB6 to .Net.
Yeah, I've been toying with the idea of finding another method to control the taskbar/open windows, but to no avail. Have waded through hundreds of VBScript propaganda, and have found some things, but nothing the extent of the ShellHelper you made. Even years later it proves very very handy.
