DHTML and JavaScript Question

Okay -- Ive recently added a menu to my DHTML / Javascript active desktop that allows me to change my desktop background on the fly. Unfortunately, I made a whole bunch of wallpapers in the past that I still like to use, and was wondering, when loading these through Javascript, is there a way to Stretch them to my desktop size?

stupid me saves them in 1024x768, and then run a 1280x960 desktop.

Any help appreciated.

I'm not going to be much help code wise (see a possible solution below).. but graphics wise... eeks. It's going to look bad. I wouldn't try to stretch them .. it'll get everything pixelated.

As far as stretching them, you dan do that in code easily. just give the image width and height properties via css.

This is possible, but really not worth the work, just set up a resize action in photoshop or script-fu it in the GIMP and resize all your walls en masse. As fawkes said: if you stretch them, they'll likely look terrible.

If you really wanna pursue this, then google results are here.
