I want a clean Taskbar
I don't want icons and boxes all over my taskbar. Is there a program that puts all of the open programs in a taskbar icon or something and then they pop up. Kinda like the Mac finder in OS9?

...you know, like where you click the apple and it shows all the programs running. I just thought it would look awesome, and be great for all of those minimalists out there and even those who are doing the whole Mac Look thing. Like if there was an icon in the Tray, and when you clicked that it showed a pop up menu of all the programs running?

You can get a Appl-like bar from Stardock.
ObjectBar with an appropriate Apple-looking skin can look real nice.
I believe many, if not all, alternate shells can list running applications in some way other than a taskbar.
bbLean can have a menu with all minimized apps listed in the main menu.

there are probably apps that do just that. i'm not sure, but doesn't meth have a taskswtich app? if not, you could request it as a feature for xbar, hehe.
but yeah, objectbar will do that also, as will the alternative shells.

Yeah I would like to stick to Explorer, I have just been advised on Customize to get PKTray which I did, and that hides all of the tasks, I just need another pop up menu to display them!
You could use Html in the UI + TaskswitchHTML. Not trivial, but it would work and it's explorer.

Ok, I'm not a total n00b, but the last time I fired up Reshacker to screw with anything was about a year ago and I have strayed away from any sort of deskmodding since then. I am not sure I know what you mean here?
*edit* I have actually achieved this now with Xtaskswitch and PKTray. Thanks for recommending me the Xtaskswitch app! It's awesome!
