Explicit, Schmin, anyone else, I found it
Ok, did it not need a new thread? Maybe not, but was so happy I couldn't resist. I found the "Folders" title, renamed it successfully, and no hex editor required.
After over 100
dll files, the 100th being the correct one, this is where it's at:
SHDOCLC.DLL -- STRING TABLE #189
It's right there, all by itself, in plain view for the world to see. Rename or delete, your choice. So, we found the bitmap, able to change it, or delete it, and now the title is under our control as well
The explorer folder tree will never be the same again
Well, I know you don't want to believe, I know that, and I don't want to either, and I am looking, but like Grigri said, it's part of the treeview control itself, and I don't believe we'll be able to alter it, but you never know
I shall continue to look

schmin, they're spread out all over the place. Most of the big named
dll's have a title for the other bars, but the other one's can also be renamed in the registry too, either way. Reg might be a little easier, but then again, I've reshacked so much now, that using Regedit is hard! lol
