Disable Webview Items (XP)

Alright, I just wandered upon this little tweak earlier, it's still untested, but..

Navigate in regedit to HKEY_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Explorer/Webview/BarricadedItems

Now, from the name, it obviously seems like if a 1 is put as a value, it will disable it. All of mine are currently at 0, but I will be testing this later today. If anyone else wants to test it before I get home later today, by all means :)

I'd like to know how to disable the webview items too. I wish it were like Win98...

Anyway, the reg key you posted just enables / disables the "barricade" messages when you try to view certain folders. For example, when you try to view \Windows, you get a "These files are hidden..." message. I'll be sure to enable this by default on the Guest account. Thanks for the find ;).

Ah, thanks undefined, I'm glad I didn't waste my time and give my hopes up. This helps me to some extent, but it makes me wonder if you can't add in entries to drives or other folders (for those with FAT32 partitions that can't be changed) for guests or other users.

Can't you just disable the webview by going to Tools>Folder Options>Use Windows Classic Folders?
