Dumb Taskbar Trick.
I was playing with my wallpaper and painted the taskbar onto the wallpaper, filled it with a gradient. I then erased where the start button and the quick launch icons were. Not anything amazing but it does look neato. Probably belongs in Showing off, and had been done before I am sure, but still.

So, this is just a doctored ss, or is that functional?

Your using transparency in Tclock right?
It's fully functional. I set the edited wallpaper with the gradient on it as the wallpaper, and faded the taskbar with T-Clock. The gradient shows up like taskbar wallpaper, and since I drew the start buttons and quick launch onto the wallpaper too, They don't fade with the rest of the taskbar.
So, that trick would work on 2000 as well?
You're looking at a Windows2000 screen shot. I'll upload an example of it later when I get home.
