Look ma, no tables!
Yay (!), we're back on full strenght. Don't worry, same old content, but it still took us like 4 months to change everything around it

. More specifically:
- Foremost, this place is running now on a .php driven engine, coded from scratch by kmr - and actually none of this would have happened without his knowledge
. Register and browse around msgboard a bit to see a totally simple structure, yet with the options available around, just missing the clutter
. Note: your account for the old msgboard won't work, everyone needs to register again. - And we've learned some bits on html. These pages - for the most part - should follow xhtml guidelines now, but, more important, presentation is seperated from content, with a big thanks to Zeldman and in particular A list apart. This will secure our presentation for coming years and browsers, while old format was becoming horribly outdated... As of now, pages are expected to render almost exactly the same in IE5+ and Mozilla, while Opera is close.
- With all presentation info moved to the .css, the way was clear to make these pages 'themable' (check upperright icons), as presented by Paul Sowden. Just one alternative for now. Sorry, would be too hard to have theming open for everybody; format is very, very easy to break.
- Oh, and content is up to date again. Lots of links added, removed and fixed, tweaks that came up on old msgboard added. Two new pages, on extending the function of the clipboard, and replacements for the find dialog.
Anyway, that's about it, hope you like. Find any bugs, please tell us.

Great coding job. I have to get use of looking at Vp in Red thought

Bravo!!
Excellent work, excellent site, as it always was, and will be. Now off to get the message boards back to the way they were.
Whoa, this looks so sweet. Impressive!
Now, there will be more regular updateeees...?
(BTW, I am ol' Fenrirkun, that one that tried to start a few months ago, when the Babya system thingy...I moved to linux but I keep reading!)
Very fast theme switching, amazing layout, and all the VP I have known and loved

.
Excellent job, I am extremely impressed
OMFG! I never thought VP.net in red would look so SEXY!
Will there be more themes?
Wow... this new look is awesome. Great job!
ok now some words, i love it, the design is great as i said on irc, and what i really LOVE is the LINK you have put down. like, higher tendencies , dark project etc. that's fabulous !!!!!!
well done
Slick. Well aside from a certain hideous diagonal texture... But the logo sure makes up for it.
/me clicks on icon near logo
Oh yes, this red theme is way better.
Insanely good looking
Great new look, I am going to check out all the new changes.
this looks so damn sweet...
anywho, bit of an opera 6.05 bug. the top menu ala message board, disclaimer, top tools, etc. displays one full page in height for me. if im being unclear i could ss it for you?
Thank you guys, appreciated.
vvraith, yeah, know what you mean, it's due to the 100% defined for hover color of those, Opera makes it 100% of the window... version 7.0 fixes that and a lot more of display in Opera, though there's still some probs, mainly with forms. But it finally renders menu ok too. Imho, but what do I know, this is Opera's problem, but there's browser fundamentalists lurking behind every corner, so I'm not sure that's correct

.
Sweetness!
Looks very nice plastic and kmr; excellent job on this.
Looks absolutely marvellous .... congrats on a job well done. It looks beautiful ....

hell yeaah
BOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Very sweet man.

Good to see the site growing in more ways than one. Nice job ppl. Go kmr on the coding. And the find section is up now too. >:} Sweeeet.....
Got a little bug Plastic, though it's in Opera 605 so....
The 'boxes' (with the links in them) on the top of the main page are about 12 cm high on my screen, they do work properly though.
The skinbuttons do nothing.
The input boxes are all white, even the list ones.
It's no big deal really. I just as easily switch to IE, but I thought you'd wanna know.
Still think it is great!
I'm digging the site adds too. Random links to some cool stuff.
Yup, iamabyte, it's what vvraith stated above, Opera 7 fixes it. Also Opera doesn't support the skinning (though 7 does the page the button is clicked on), it can use alternate stylesheets, but that's an option in toolbar menu somewhere and only sticks on one page only too... it all comes down to a advice to upgrade to v7, that at least makes the site usable, even kinda nice, though forms look a little weird.
Got a bad report on
IE6, sp1, better check that out...

piaqt
Nice new look. One cavil: the tools links to Japanese pages. As I don't read Japanese, I can't find the apps links on those pages!
piaqt, we don't read Japanese either. If one or two good guesses don't get us where we want (status bar and tooltips usually help), we do try to link to specific pages (while general policy is to link to a homepage rather than to a specific page, developers of apps/pages just like that better

). If any pages give you real trouble, we'd like to hear.
Tried Opera 7 and it does look much better. I'll just wait for the freeware version of Opera 7. Till then its
IE6 + Opera605.
"freeware version of Opera 7"? What the hell is that? Oh, you mean the cracked version...
You must be pleased about yourself.
Hey, wonderful blue theme (I like it original!) - red is a bit aggressive, but sexy nonetheless...
But the site just doesn't display in Phoenix... : still old background, content with no tables, just text... quite ugly! I have to come here on IE, just too bad!
Just downloaded Phoenix 0.5 and it renders perfectly fine ?! Well, exactly like in Mozilla, which is a reference for this place - it m?st render near to perfect in
IE5,
IE6 (huge difference) and Mozilla, if possible be workable in Opera, K-Meleon and others. IE6+ and Mozilla are both good on their way in supporting standards, so we'll stick with that and I'm not gonna check out all offspring of these. As far as I've seen now, it's always ok if they use their source code in a good way.
Your problems in Phoenix, can imagine there's some cache problems, on your side or on some point online...
Yop, you're right, plastic (as usual...) : just a cache problem! (am i too stupid? no, just don't tell...)
Happy me : I can now enjoy this brand new VP on Phoenix :-)
