Process Controller R1.0
"k23 productions have just released Process Controller R1.0. If you've seen it's BeOS namesake then you'll know what to expect, if not - here's a quick overview:
Process Controller displays a little icon in the systray with two coloured bars in it - the left-hand bar shows the currrent cpu utilisation, the right-hand bar shows memory utilisation. Nothing special there - the really cool bit is when you right-click the icon you'll get a menu that allows you to view (and kill) all the currently running processes on your PC, view the cpu and memory utilisation of all the running processes, cpu utilisation of the running threads within a process, and view and close any windows created by any thread!
Process Controller works under Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000 and XP although functionality is limited to just the icon on Windows 95 (this will be resolved shortly) and process/thread cpu usage is only available on NT, 2000 and XP.
Read more about it (and download it) here:
Process Controller."
This needs the xtk to be setup. I haven't tried xenOS and when I run the xtk setup it indicates that the xenOS will be installed. It looks to be common files of xenOS.
Any thoughts?
i installed the additional zip file that was on the web site and it worked well. a decent program - not as snappy as the beos one, but that is probably just the limitations of windows...
I'm mostly highly confused by what's a shell and what's not etc at k23, but these are just runtimes, needed for various (coming) k23 apps. In other words, safe to install

.
pretty sweet app.
of course, being on winMe, i'm slightly limited by not having the process / thread cpu usage option, but still real sweet.
only thing i have a problem with, is the grey colour of the menu... doesn't match the rest of my system real well.
Hi all! Sorry for the confusion caused by the XTK/xen:OS. The installer *is* just the XTK runtime libraries - we just haven't gotten round to changing the banner (although R2.24 is currently being tested) - please check out the FAQ here:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/cpeel2300/xtk.htm#faq for more information. Thanks to those who tried it! =)
One more thing - you can change the menu colours! Point regedit at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\k23\xenOS\environment\ colours\menus
The colours are stored in decimal R,G,B format so they're fairly intuitive to change. We'll be releasing a colour changer utility shortly! :-)
munkie - awesome, now that i know about changing the menu colours
although, if you all are releasing a colour changer utility soon, would you be able to add an option to change to current system colours?
Certainly! :-)
